The Maldives Police Service on Tuesday arrested a man who allegedly stole over MVR 700,000 from an office in Malé.
According to the police, the burglary took place on March 23.
The man had broken into an office located on the first floor of a building in the Henveiru ward of Malé.
The police arrested a 43-year-old man in connection with the incident.
When they searched his residence, they found over MVR 500,000.
The police are investigating the incident further.
