The Maldives government has re-announced that it is seeking interested parties to develop seven hospitals with the assistance of the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development.
The government initially announced that it was seeking contractors to develop a facility with 30 beds, in April 2022. However, no parties had put forth any proposals for the initiative by the deadline.
The state has once more notified that it is looking for developers for the same project; interested parties must clarify prerequisites before January 5. The bid proposal opening is scheduled for January 19.
Interested developers are required to deposit USD 35,000 as bid security.
Under the Kuwait Fund, the state will be devleoping hospitals in:
- Haa Dhaalu atoll, Hanimaadhooo
- Shaviyani atoll, Milandhoo
- Noonu atoll, Velidhoo
- Kaafu atoll, Thulusdhoo
- Alifu Dhaalu atoll, Maamigili
- Vaavu atoll, Felidhoo
- Thaa atoll, Vilufushi
