Chinese Ambassador Wang Lixin pays farewell call on the President

Chinese Ambassador to the Maldives Wang Lixin has today paid a courtesy call on President Dr Mohamed Muizzu to bid farewell as her tenure here nears its end.

At the meeting, the President extended thanks for the Ambassador's varied contributions to the Maldives, and towards strengthening Maldives-China relations.

He emphasized upon the key role she has played in aiding various developmental projects in multiple areas in the Maldives.

The Ambassador also expressed gratitude for the support she received during her time in the Maldives.

Discussions were also held on the progress of ongoing projects being conducted with the aid of China, as well as exploring further avenues of collaboration.

Ambassador Wang Lixin was appointed on September 6, 2021.
