An announcement by Maldives Media Council (MMC) yesterday revealed that the Journalism Awards this year will be held at 20:30 hrs on October 28 in the multipurpose hall of Umar Zahir Office Building located in Hulhumale'.
The council disclosed earlier that it had received 88 nominations across 18 categories of the award.
The Journalism Awards was first introduced in 2013 with this year marking the 11th edition of the awards. The award aims to recognize the efforts of reporters on covering important themes and encourage them to excel in the field.
