Police had arrested a man in Shaviyani atoll Feydhoo on Thursday night for stabbing his pregnant wife’s stomach with a knife.
They said a man was arrested that for attacking his wife with a sharp object.
Mihaaru news reported that the man, 37, stabbed his wife, 32, after an argument between the couple. The woman was released after receiving medical treatment in Feydhoo Medical Center
According to the Health Center, the wound in her stomach was not deep, the police said.
The couple have been married for nearly ten years. They have children as well.
