Former President Maumoon Abdul Gayyoom’s ‘Maumoon Foundation’ has opened applications for 10 new scholarships to Garden City University in Bangalore, India.
The annual scholarships awarded by the organisation offer to pay tuition fees in part to the selected students.
This year, ‘Maumoon Foundation’ is offering scholarships in: Bachelors of Business Administration, Bachelors of Computer Application, and Bachelors in various science fields including Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Genetics and Physiotherapy.
A Masters in Travel and Tourism is also offered under the scholarship scheme.
Application deadline closes on June 21.
Last year, the organisation offered 80 scholarships in 20 different fields, also to the Garden University.
Meanwhile, the head of the foundation Gayyoom is in prison on terrorism and obstruction of justice charges.
