Following and issue with a one megawatt engine in the island's Fenaka powerhouse, Kulhudhuffushi is experiencing scheduled power cuts shortly after their latest electricity issue was resolved.
Some areas in Kulhudhuffushi, the capital island of Haa Dhaalu Atoll, the second northernmost atoll, is experiencing scheduled power cuts again due to an issue in an engine in the island's powerhouse.
Kulhudhuffushi previously experienced island-wide power cuts due to prolonged delays in resolving electricity issues. The problem was eventually resolved by transferring a generator to the island.
Fenaka Corporation Limited's Kulhudhuffushi branch revealed that a one megawatt engine used in the powerhouse has sustained some damages and stated that various parts of the island will undergo power cuts until the problem is resolved.
Fenaka Corporation's powerhouse in Kulhudhuffushi has been announcing the schedule of power cuts along with the specific areas that will be affected since yesterday.
Fenaka said that different areas of Kulhudhuffushi will face power interruptions today between 12:00 hrs and 20:00 hrs. They stated that each affected area will regain electricity after an hour.
