The Huraa Community Club's (CC) first match was a great success at the Central Asian Volleyball Association (CAVA) Women's League 2026, which started yesterday at the Social Center, Male'.
There are seven teams competing in the league, with the first game of the league being played between Kazakhstan's Turan Volleyball Club (VC) and Sri Lanka's Hirdaramani Sports Club in Group A. Turan VC claimed an easy three-set win with set scores of 25-11, 25-8 and 25-20.

After last night's opening ceremony, the first match was played by Group B's Huraa CC and Uzbekistan's Humo Volleyball Club. Huraa also claimed a three-set win against Humo VC.
Humo VC, who are the runner-ups of the 2024 CAVA Women's Volleyball Club Champions which was held in Maldives, lost to Huraa with set scores of 26-24, 25-20 and 25-20.

The other two teams in Group B are Nepal Police Club and Iran's Foolad Mobarakeh Sepahan. Nepal Police Club are champions of the 2024 CAVA Women's Volleyball Club Champions.
Huraa's second match will be played against Foolad Mobarakeh Sepahan tonight at 8:30pm.
The league is set to have two matches daily, with Humo and Nepal Police Club playing against each other at 4:15pm.
Along with Huraa, Maldives' own Club WAMCO will also be competing in the league. Club WAMCO are in Group A with Kazakhstan's Turan Volleyball Club (VC) and Sri Lanka's Hirdaramani Sports Club. WAMCO is set to play their first match tomorrow evening.
