Zakat will be accepted from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm on weekdays during the first 20 days of Ramadan (March 2 to March 20), and from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm during the last 10 days (March 23 to March 30), excluding Fridays and Saturdays.
Ministry of Islamic Affairs has announced that Fitr Zakat will be accepted from the first day of Ramadan, which falls on Saturday, March 1, and will continue until the end of the month.
In a statement issued by the ministry’s Zakat House, payments can be made through BandeyriPay and FahiPay until the last day of Ramadan.
While online and SMS payments are available, the ministry has made provisions for the elderly and those unfamiliar with online payment methods to pay their Zakat in person at the Islamic Centre.

Zakat House also said that cash collection for Fitr Zakat in islands outside of Male’ City will be arranged by the respective island councils.
