The sixth edition of Corporate Maldives "Gold 100 Gala" concluded successfully at CROSSROADS Maldives Tuesday night, November 29.

The "Gold 100 Gala" is an invitation-only networking event that brings together the top executives of the Maldives business community.

The Platinum Partner for this year’s “Gold 100 Gala” was Bank of Maldives (BML). Gold partners included Medtech Maldives, The Hawks, Al Shaali Marine Maldives, CROSSROADS Maldives, Jalboot Maldives, Housing Development Corporation (HDC), and Red Creatic.

This year, the Gala event was graced by Chief Guest Vice President Faisal Naseem, along with senior government officials.

At the event, Vice President Naseem launched Corporate Maldives Gold 100 magazine and Director of Retail, Business and SME Banking at Bank of Maldives, Moosa Nimal.

The Vice President spoke about the difficulties of sustaining a business in an ever-changing economy impacted by global events. He said that Maldives was able to overcome the Covid-19 pandemic due to the joint efforts of state and business corporations in both the public and private sectors.

He noted that Maldives must diversify across sectors instead of being heavily dependent on tourism as the main driver of economic growth. The Vice President closed his speech with hope for the Maldives economy to widen and prosper in the future.

The "Gold 100" award was presented to the leading 100 business entities in the country, at the function.

Corporate Maldives also presented the Lifetime Achievement Award to visionary business leader Mohamed Salih, Chairman of Damas Company in recognition of the significant contributions to the construction and trading sectors.
