A sub-committee of the ministers' cabinet has been formed to probe Tuesday's incident in Galolhu Football Stadium involving a horde of angry protesters who threatened the yoga attendees in the premises.

President's Office on Tuesday evening, June 21, confirmed that the sub-committee consisted of seven members in total, who are;

1- Dr. Ahmed Zahir (Minister of Islamic Affairs)

2- Dr. Aishath Ali (Minister of Education)

3- Aishath Mohamed Didi (Minister of Gender, Family and Social Services)

4- Ibrahim Riffath (Attorney General of Maldives)

5- Yumna Maumoon (Minister of Arts, Culture and Heritage)

6- Mohamed Aslam (Minister of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure)

7- Ahmed Mahloof (Minister of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment)

Members of the cabinet had strongly condemned Tuesday's altercation between angry protesters and yoga attendees, with the former resorting to threats and intimidation against the latter.

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih had affirmed via Twitter that swift action will be taken against the culprits.

President Solih had assured that the incident was investigated as a matter of importance and added that the individuals will be brought to justice.

Local law enforcement authorities claim the various equipment used by the mob to arm themselves, were acquired from the party office of Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) - the main opposition party - an allegation the party denied sternly.
