Zana Ali Shareef, representing the Maldives team, secured the Bronze medal in the 200m run at the Special Olympics World Games in Berlin, Germany.
This marks the second time the Maldives team has participated in this event.
Zana's achievement adds to the team's success, making it the third medal won by the Maldives in the games.
The Maldives team showed exceptional sportsmanship in the competition. Hassan Sujood Nashid reached the finals in the standing long jump, reaching the finals. Zana and Aishath Laika Hassan showcased impressive skills in the 100m run, qualifying for the finals. Laika also achieved a commendable 5th place in the 200m run.
