Newly appointed Ambassador of Maldives to United Arab Emirates (UAE) Mohamed Hussain Shareef has presented his Letter of Credence to the President of UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Newly appointed Ambassador of Maldives to United Arab Emirates (UAE) Mohamed Hussain Shareef has presented his Letter of Credence to the President of UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The letter was handed over at a special ceremony held at Qasr Al Watan, the Presidential Palace of UAE.
At the ceremony, the Maldivian National Anthem was played. Shareef also hoisted the flag of Maldives and inspected a UAE military guard.
President of UAE reflected on the continued strong bilateral relations between Maldives and the UAE, and expressed his commitment towards working with the new Ambassador to expand the relationship between Maldives and UAE in various fields.
Ambassador Shareef conveyed well wishes from President Dr Mohamed Muizzu and the people of Maldives, and pledged to work to expand the existing bilateral relations between the two countries.
Shareef is the sixth Ambassador of Maldives to the UAE. The Maldives and UAE established diplomatic relations on March 15, 1978.
