The hearing of Naeema Moosa's murder trial has been rescheduled due to damage to the speedboat used by Maldives Correctional Service, which impeded their transportation to Malé City.
The murder trial hearing for Naeema Moosa, who was found murdered in Noonu Atoll Manadhoo last year and was scheduled to begin today, has been canceled.
The prosecution charged Ahzam AbduShukoor, 23, Abdul Wahid Rifaas, 20, and Hassan Favaz, 21, all residents of the same island, with committing murder with a sharp object, obstructing justice, and abusing a dead body.
The criminal court said that the trial of Rifaas and Favaz, scheduled for today, was temporarily postponed due to damage to the speedboat used by Maldives Correctional Service, which impeded their transportation to Malé City.
Naeema Moosa was found brutally murdered in her own home after a search was initiated when she had been reported missing for two days.
