Maldives Airports Company (MACL) opens bid to operate lounge spaces in the new sea plane terminal of Velana International Airport (VIA).
All resorts, sea plane operators, and tour operators registered in Maldives can apply to operate the lounge. MACL said the wining party can operate the lounge spaces as they wish.
The deadline for bid submission is until September 27. Interested parties will have to register before September 12.
A bid security deposit of USD 10,000 or MVR 154,200 has to be submitted along with the bid.
Around USD 55 million (MVR 848 million) was spent to develop the seaplane terminal in VIA.
Three operators will be able to utilize the newly developed terminal. The lagoon area has the capacity to accommodate approximately 100 seaplanes at once.
