Committee approves dismissal of some ACC, EC members

Parliament's Committee on Independent Institutions has today passed a motion to dismiss some members of the Elections Commission (EC) and Anti Corruption Commission (ACC).

The committee earlier commenced looking into some issues submitted against ACC Vice President Abdul Salam, ACC member Thoha Mohamed, EC Vice President Ali Nashath, EC members Mohamed Asif and Dr Mohamed Zahir, and CSC President Mohamed Nasih regarding compromised integrity and disciplinary issues.
