Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) has commenced a series of roadshows targeting Middle East market.
The roadshow series aims to increase tourism promotion efforts in the region, showcasing the island nation and facilitate an adequate platform for industry partners on both sides to connect and establish relations.
MMPRC reported that the roadshow is held in Saudi Arabia at the sidelines of the Riyadh Travel Fair; initially kicking off at the Saudi capital Riyadh and then moving on to Jeddah and Kuwait City on 23rd, 25th and 26th respectively.
Furthermore the premier tourism promoter commented that, alongside industry partners, it aimed to build and "maintain a strong" business to business presence in the GCC countries.
In addition to this, MMPRC along with industry partners will share the latest in destination updates, guidelines as well as other crucial information pertaining to the Maldivian tourism industry.
Tourism promotion efforts through the roadshows include showcase of tourism products including resorts, hotels, guesthouses and liveaboards.
Moreover, the roadshows are run in association with 16 industry partners for the Riyadh roadshow and 18 participants joining for the Jeddah roadshow.
Additionally, 16 participants have already confirmed involvement in the roadshow slated for Kuwait City on Thursday, 26th May.
