MMPRC launches outdoor campaign in 3 Chinese cities

Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) launched an outdoor campaign in three Chinese cities.

According to MMPRC, the campaign is held across capital city Beijing, Guangzhou and Shanghai to market Maldives as an ideal holiday destination.

As part of the campaign, digital advertisements will be exhibited on seven LED displays across the Shanghai metro station, corporate buildings in Beijing and five shopping malls in Guangzhou.

Furthermore, MMPRC plans to conduct familiarization trips with Chinese journalists and celebrities, as well as take part in two tourism exhibitions in the country.

In addition to various road shows in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, MMPRC promoted Maldives at the China Outboard Travel and Tourism Market (COTTM), the largest tourism fair hosted in China during last year.

Considering individual countries, China leads with the highest arrivals, followed by India and Italy. In 2019 alone, 284,372 Chinese tourists visited Maldives.
