Singha Estate Public Company Ltd of Thailand has teamed up with A+E Networks to produce a documentary series on the "Crossroads" project being developed in Emboodhoo lagoon, to be aired on Asian television channel History.

According to Emboodhoo lagoon contractor Singha Estate, the documentary series titled "Making Mega in Paradise" would show the logistical and intellectual challenges of developing the largest integrated resort destination "Crossroads" in the Indian Ocean. The six-part documentary of 30-minute episodes will be aired within the first quarter of 2019.

Regarding the project, A+E Networks Asia's Director and Executive Producer Chris Humphrey remarked that Crossroads was a project the likes of which history had not seen before. Highlighting that 99 percent of Emboodhoo lagoon was the sea, he said that undertaking such a massive engineering initiative at such a location was an extraordinary journey, adding that he was proud to witness it upclose.

Shedding more light on the documentary, Singha Estate stated that Making Mega in Paradise would show a multidisciplinary team comprising of experts from various lines of construction, working on developing the USD 680 million leisure destination.

Singha Estate further revealed that the series would focus on the natural beauty and allure of Emboodhoo lagoon, with its rich coral-life spanning an area of seven kilometres. Noting that the greatest challenge of the project was to minimise the impact on reefs, the firm stated that Making Mega in Paradise would be testament to how deeply the project experts were taking the protection of the delicate marine ecosystem into consideration, in each and every decision.

Making Mega in Paradise would also unfurl a master plan for Crossroads, which was developed with the input of local and international visionaries. In addition, the series would highlight the care and attention given to minor details in achieving the targets for eco-conscious development.

Expressing pride in the work accomplished so far, Singha Estate vowed to minimize impact on the environment throughout development, and ensure "harmonious coexistence" between nature and its denizens.
