An agreement was signed for psychologists from Aster Little Blujays Center, operated by Indian company DYU Healthcare, to provide consultations in Institute for Counselling and Psychotherapy (ICP).

This agreement was signed at a special ceremony held by ICP on Tuesday, October 10, to celebrate World Mental Health Day.

According to the agreement, visiting psychologists will be able to consult at their clinic under this arrangement. Additionally, the Centre will assist ICP in its efforts to enhance their training and capacity.

ICP said that this partnership will enable the two centers to share resources and experiences.

At the signing ceremony, Chairperson of ICP and CEO of SIMDI Group, Dr. Mariyam Shakeela said that the demand for mental health care in the country was on the rise.

Dr. Shakeela emphasized that providing mental health care was not solely the responsibility of the government. She highlighted the need for everyone's involvement and initiative to develop the sector. Dr. Shakeela added that the support from Little Bluejays was a significant boost to expand and enhance the center's services.

Speaking on the occasion, Chairman of DYU Healthcare, Dr. Prashant Gowda, emphasized the importance of focusing on mental health during a child's growth and adolescence. He stressed the need for everyone to work together and spread awareness to prioritize mental health at every stage of life.

During this ceremony, ICP also announced the winners of the recently held poetry competition and presented them with gift hampers from ICP and the SIMDI Group.
