SIMDI's "Biryani Cooking Challenge" held last week at Food and Hospitality Asia Maldives (FHAM) has come to a close.
The competition saw 25 chefs from different resorts in the Maldives partaking in the challege.
Chef Manoj Kumar Dubey of Hulhule' Island Hotel won the first prize. Ellaidhoo Maldives Chef, M. Badri came second while Chef Abdul Kalaam of Sun Island Resort came third.
SIMDI offered the first place winner an all-expenses-paid trip to the Dunar factory in New Delhi, India, where the company's Dunnar brand products are manufactured. The second prize winner received USD 300 while the third prize winner received USD 200.
SIMDI said the competition was well received and showcased the skills of multiple chefs.
At the FHAM exhibition, SIMDI had showcased many of its brands including Dunar brand basmati rice and Dilma brand tea.
