As per the Academic Calendar shared by the Ministry of Education, the second term will commence on October 6, and continue till March 6, 2025.
A total of 96,000 students were enrolled in schools at the start of this academic year, with 40,300 girls and 42,700 boys.
The Ministry said that the 217 government schools have approximately 83,000 students enrolled, with 17,000 of them being in Male' region schools.
In private schools, 13,000 students are enrolled from lower kindergarten to Grade 12, 9000 of whom are in Male' area schools.
Government schools employ 12,662 teachers, of which 10,729 are Maldivian and 1,933 foreign.
