In the Annual General Meeting held on Sunday night, Dhiraagu has decided to distribute MVR 7.5 per share as last year's dividends.
This resolution was passed through the votes of 96 percent of shareholders present at last night's meeting held in Crossroads Maldives.
This value is a MVR 0.17 increase from the rates the company gave out as dividends last year. The annual share profit of the company is based on the board recommendation of MVR 5.84 as final dividend and the MVR 1.66 interim dividend announced early last year.
With the passing of this recommendation, a total of MVR 570 million will be distributed amongst shareholders.
Dhiraagu earned revenues of MVR 2.6 billion last year. Total profits of the company are at MVR 896 million. This is approximately MVR 10 million less than the previous year.
As of now, Dhiraagu has paid out the largest dividends to shareholders in 2016. That year, the rate was MVR 14.37 per share.
