Maafushi MP Hussain Riza's name has been nominated as the member of parliament appointed to the Judicial Service Commission (JSC), from the 20th parliament members who were sworn in last week.

During today's parliament sitting, Speaker Abdul Raheem Abdulla gave a 15-minute window to submit the names of MPs to be appointed to the commission. However, only MP Riyaz was nominated.

The last MP appointed to JSC by the Parliament was Thulhaadhoo MP Hisaan Hussain.
