The petition, addressed to Minister of Education Dr Ismail Shafeeu and signed by a significant number of parents from two school sessions, outlines 35 grievances.
These include allegations of discrimination among students, inadequate attention to learning and extracurricular activities, promotions and opportunities favoring teachers of certain ideologies, and allegations of corruption.
The issues raised in the petition include:
- The Principal and Deputy Principal disrupting teachers' work and students' learning due to differences of opinion on various issues
- Not providing students with opportunities for diverse experiences beyond academic studies
- Weakened relationship between parents and school management
- No positive changes over the past eight years under the current principal
