Police said that a special drugs operation is being led in these islands by the Drug Enforcement Department, Intelligence and North Police. They declined from providing further information at this time.
Police have run drugs operations in Naifaru earlier as well, conducting searches of many locations and arresting those believed to be leading drug crimes.
In last year's operation, six people were arrested. The courts, however, released them stating that they were not directly in possession of drugs at the time of arrest.
