Velaa Private Island distributed the highest service charge in February, allotting MVR 47,108 per employee.
While Velaa Private Island also topped the list in January, the resort allocated MVR 62,899 per head as service charge during the previous month.
The second highest service charge was distributed by Soneva Jani and Soneva Fushi, with less than half of Velaa's allocation. The resorts allocated MVR 23,978 per employee in February.
Four Seasons Resort distributed the third highest figure as service charge with an allocation of MVR 23,608. This was followed by Vakkaru Maldives, which disbursed MVR 20,231 as service charge.
According to Maldives Service Charge website, only some resorts revealed information concerning their distribution of service charge. Figures stated on the website are sourced from resort workers.
All tourist facilities in Maldives are legally mandated to pay service charge.
