Bank of Maldives (BML) on Thursday continued its investment programme with a new branch premises and Self Service Banking Centre in Ungoofaaru, Raa Atoll.
The new facilities will support local individuals and businesses to make deposits, payments and transfers on a 24/7 basis.
The inauguration of the bank’s investments took place at a special ceremony in Ungoofaaru attended by customers as well as local residents, business owners and community leaders. To mark the occasion, the April board meeting of the BML’s Board of Directors was held in the new branch premises.
BML’s Deputy CEO and In-charge Aishath Noordeen stated, “We are delighted to support the community of Ungoofaaru with this beautiful new branch and Self Service Banking Centre. Ungoofaaru is clearly a business and economic hub in this atoll and today’s investments will therefore not only benefit the people and businesses of this island but also those in neighbouring islands”.
With a nationwide network of 37 branches across all 20 atolls, 40 Self Service Banking Centres, 100 ATMs, 5,300 Point of Sale merchants, 277 agents and a full suite of Digital Banking services, Bank of Maldives stated its commitment to support individuals, businesses and communities across Maldives.
