Over 700 security cameras have been installed in four towers of Hiyaa Flats; one of the biggest housing initiative in the Maldives.
Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has announced that 768 security cameras are being installed and operated from H13 to H16 towers to ensure the safety of the residents of the apartment buildings. Each tower is equipped with a total of 192 cameras.
The company said that security cameras are also being installed in the remaining 12 towers.
With the installation of cameras in all the towers, more than 3,000 security cameras will be operated in the area.

Two companies were contracted to procure cameras for Hiyaa Flats.
When people began living in Hiyaa flats in September, one of their biggest concern was about security.
HDC handed over the security of the facility to Vashi Private Limited. Employees of the company have been working on the ground floor and parking area in the basement of each tower since February.
More than 10,000 people currently live in Hiyaa towers.
