Scout workshop on Crisis Communication and Reputation Management to be held in Maldives

The Scout Association Maldives and World Scout Bureau’s Asia Pacific Support Center have announced the Asia Pacific Regional Workshop in Maldives.

The workshop will be held from February 22–25.

The Scout Association said the workshop will train participants on crisis communication and reputation management. The workshop is part of the 2022–2025 Asia Pacific Regional Plan to strengthen the capacity of the National Scout Organisation.

The workshop will teach how to maintain the Scout brand and reputation and the best ways the National Scout Organisation can manage crises.

A communication plan will also be developed on how to seek support from the World Scout Bureau Asia Pacific Support Centre in crisis situations, how support should be provided, and how the National Scout Organisation should deal with them.

The workshop is aimed at Scouts working in communication, public relations, and branding in the Asia Pacific Region of National Scout Organisations. It is also a special training program for Scout leaders involved in areas such as Safe from Harm, Youth Programme, Adults in Scouting, and Governance.
