The school children's singing competition made a comeback on Friday after an eight-year hiatus.
The singing competition, which initially launched in 1988 to cultivate singing skills among students. The competition was last held in 2015.
A total of 273 students from 32 schools are competing in the singing competition, which began on Friday. The competition is being held across six different age groups.
The songs performed by the children in the competition will be played every day from 4 PM to 6 PM and from 8 PM to 11 PM on '"YES TV" from Friday till Tuesday.
The finale of the singing competition is scheduled to take place on May 24.
This year's competition is organised by the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment, National Centre for the Arts, and PSM (Public Service Media).
