Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation (FDC) said today that an agreement had been signed with the Hajj Corporation yesterday where FDC will be providing the design services for the 'Niam Residence' housing project.

Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation (FDC) said today that an agreement had been signed with the Hajj Corporation yesterday where FDC will be providing the design services for the 'Niam Residence' housing project.
The agreement was signed by FDC Managing Director Hamdhan Shakeel and Hajj Corporation Managing Director Mohamed Shakeel.
FDC said that under this agreement, they would be providing consultancy, architectural designs and engineering drawings.
Hajj Corporation MD Shakeel told Mihaaru News that purchasing of apartments built within this housing project would be open to all.
However no details of how many apartments the project would have, or who it will be contracted to, have been shared as of yet.
FDC has previously signed similar agreements with the Ministry of Islamic Affairs and Maldive Gas to design different buildings being developed by them.
With the changes brought to FDC's mandate following their five year anniversary, they said that they are taking on several projects to increase revenue.
Hajj Corporation purchased two plots of land from Hulhumale' last May. Work was begun this month to be a nine floor office complex on one of these land plots, which is 5000 sqft in size.
The office complex project was contracted to MedTech Maldives Pvt Ltd under a contractor financing policy for MVR 79.1 million. The project is scheduled to be completed within 18 months.
