Police have launched an investigation into a hacking incident targeting the server of the Lhaviyani Atoll Hospital located in Lhaviyani atoll Naifaru.

Lhaviyani Atoll Hospital Assistant Director Abdulla Humaid speaking with Mihaaru News said that the server is currently down, disrupting services provision. He added that despite the challenges, the hospital is continuing its services.
"The server is still down, and some systems are currently inaccessible, which is causing difficulties in providing services," Humaid said.
He said that the token system is not working, and staff cannot access the patient management system.
No arrests have been made in connection with the incident.
