Maldives Police Service on Tuesday confirmed that a Bangladeshi expatriate was left in serious condition after he fell from a five-storey building in capital city Male'.
According to Police, the 32-year man's fall was reported at approximately 0952 hrs. He is undergoing treatment at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital. No further details were revealed.
There have been a recent upsurge of construction site-related incidents, including the death of an expatriate worker killed by a falling jumbo bag of cement sacks and the untimely passing of a 7-year old Bangladeshi girl after a falling bag of cement struck her.
