According to the President's Office, the application deadline is set for 12:00 noon on December 16.
Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has announced the opening of applications for two vacancies on the commission.
According to the President's Office, the application deadline is set for 12:00 noon on December 16.
The vacancies arose after the resignation of Vice President Abdul Salaam and Member Thoha Mohamed, following a parliamentary committee's decision to dismiss them due to alleged integrity and disciplinary concerns.
In his resignation letter to the President’s Office, Thoha stated that while he had performed his duties freely and honestly in accordance to the Constitution and the law, the allegations and no confidence motion had created an environment that made it impossible for him to continue his work independently.
Members of the ACC now consist of its President Adam Shamil and members Shiyama Mohamed and Shazna Hashim.
