The government has decided to install "Vessel Tracking Devices" on marine vessels to systematically monitor them, aiming to combat the sale and trafficking of narcotics throughout the nation.

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu made this decision during a Cabinet meeting held on Sunday following discussions on a paper submitted by the Ministry of Homeland Security and Technology, according to the President's Office.
