Secretary-General of Oman's Ministry of Foreign Affairs Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamood Albusaidi called on Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid on Monday
The meeting was organized on the sidelines of the 4th Indian Ocean Conference at Kurumba Maldives resort.
Minister Shahid welcomed Secretary-General Albusaidi to Maldives and to the Indian Ocean Conference.
During the meeting, both diplomats expressed their hopes that Maldives and Oman would continue to further strengthen the existing bonds of bilateral ties and international solidarity.

Furthermore, discussions were held on ways to explore cooperation in fields of mutual interest.
Minister Shahid expressed pleasure at meeting Secretary-General Albusaidi. He added that he looked forward to a closer bilateral relationship with the appointment of the new non-resident Ambassador to Oman.
In addition to Minister Shahid, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Ahmed Khaleel, Foreign Secretary Ghafoor Mohamed and Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ahmed Shiaan took part in the meeting.
