With the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Maldives and India to be marked in 2025, President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has today extended an invitation to India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi to undertake a State visit to Maldives.
With the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Maldives and India to be marked in 2025, President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has today extended an invitation to India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi to undertake a State visit to the Maldives.
The invitation was announced in a joint press appearance held by the leaders following their official talks this afternoon during President Muizzu's ongoing State visit to India.
This is President Muizzu's first State visit to India.
Prime Minister Modi has visited Maldives twice during the previous administration led by former President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih. This was during Solih's oath taking ceremony in November, 2018 and an official visit later.
