Faafu Atoll Magoodhoo Council has allocated over MVR 1 million to upgrade Magoodhoo School.
Magoodhoo Council President Abdulla Waheed said that the council plans to implement several measures to create a more positive and favorable learning environment for students.
These plans include installing air conditioners in all classrooms, establishing a computer lab, park, and setting up a library in the school.
"The council will cover the costs for prizes, trophies, medals, and annual awards for school ceremonies," Waheed said.
The council will also arrange the accommodation, meals, and travel expenses for temporary teachers at the school.
The council signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the school on Wednesday. Under the MoU, the council will invest MVR 1,393,000 to fund this initiative.
