Alia has launched a training program in collaboration with the Maldives Institute of Technology (MIT) to enhance the skills of marine vessel captains and provide them with technical information on safety and security.
This year, 64 participants took part in the "Boat Operators Training Program".
The training program includes a special session on the theory and skills required for captains to navigate outboard engine vessels.
Captains will also be familiarized with essential driving precautions, navigation charts, safety protocols, and procedures to follow in case of a medical emergency for passengers.
The program also covers emergency response, outboard engine maintenance, and troubleshooting sessions.

Additionally, Alia, in collaboration with Japan's Yamaha Technical Academy, has launched a special training program for aircraft operators in the Maldives. This year's Yamaha Technical Training program marks the fifth edition of the program.
This year also marks the 50th anniversary of the introduction of Yamaha outboard engines to the Maldives.
