Water villa in The Riz-Carlton Maldives caught on fire on Saturday.
Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) said the fire incident on Fari Islands of The Ritz-Carlton was reported to them around 12:30 in the afternoon. No one injured in the incident that occurred in the resort in Kaafu Atoll.
MNDF said the staff at the resort had put the fire out.
The ceiling and the toilet of the villa had caught on fire. The property sustained various damages in the incident.
Cause of the fire is not known yet.
