Located in Dhigurah (long island), South Ari Atoll, the island is true to its name with a pearly white beach that stretches on and on.
To reach Dhigurah, you can catch a speedboat ride from capital Male, which would take about 1 hour and 45 minutes. It all depends on the weather. There is also the option of a 20-minute flight from Velana International Airport to Maamigili, which entails a 30-minute speedboat ride from Maamigili to Dhigurah.
The guesthouse is in a quiet corner of the island, with the beach only a few steps away.
The three-storey building has a modern interior. The owners, Musannif and Anne, proudly point out various furniture and decor pieces that they collected from their travels.
While most of the guesthouse including the rooms, reception area and restaurant. feature blue and white colours, you’ll be greeted with a surprising pop of colour when you step up to the rooftop. With an orange-and-white based decor, the rooftop brings a touch of snazzy fun.
Bliss has its own mini garden right in front of the guesthouse where flowers can be seen in full bloom.
The rooms in Bliss are considerably smaller than your typical guesthouse suites, but they are most definitely cosy.
Visitors can choose from five different types of rooms, based on their needs. Compact, deluxe and twin rooms are suited for two people.
In deluxe, you get more space and can hop on the hammock in your balcony. The twin rooms are more suited for family and friends as the rooms come with twin beds.
With the suite, you get to enjoy the comfort of a king size bed, living room and a larger balcony. Additionally, the bathroom in the suite is equipped with double vanities, shower and a bathtub for a long soak after an adventurous day.
The family room is suited for four people, ideally for a small family or friends travelling together. It features two connecting rooms that can be locked from both sides.
All rooms are equipped with air conditioners, mini fridge, Wi-Fi and a TV, where guests can choose from a varied collection of movies.
All in all, the suites keep with the guesthouse's belief that a room is meant for visitors to relax and unwind after a long day of exploring the outdoors, which according to Bliss is what visiting the Maldives is all about!

Dhigurah is a beautiful island for nature lovers to explore. The guesthouse offers you bicycles so you can take your time to go around the island and be one with nature. You can even cycle to the famous Dhigurah thundi for a relaxing day by the beach.

For the adventurous vacationers, have no worry; Bliss has various activities planned out especially for you. The guesthouse arranges various activities like snorkelling, dolphin watching and diving. You can also catch a glimpse or even swim around with a whale shark. This harmless giant of the sea can be spotted in this area throughout the year. What's more, you can also try a bunch of water sports offered by local diving centres.
Don’t worry if the weather does not let you step outside. Bliss has several board and card games that you can enjoy over a cup of coffee from the drinks bar downstairs.
Food is one aspect that really stands out. Breakfast is a set menu with a different dish for every day of the week. There is a separate kitchen on the rooftop for pizza with a special menu dedicated to it.
The staff are really attentive and pleasant. Notably, this is the first guesthouse in Dhigurah to employ females as waitresses.
For lovebirds or honeymooners, Bliss offers to arrange romantic dinners by the beach. Moreover, they arrange themed dinner nights, like the 'Maldivian Night' where guests get to experience mouthwatering local cuisine.
