A book containing research on the health sector in the Maldives has been published Monday, 10 October.
The book, titled "Compendium of Health Research in Maldives," includes researches carried out during 2018 to 2021.
The book was launched at a ceremony held at the Ministry of Health.
The book contains more than 30 studies including disease treatment and prevention, as well as Covid research conducted over the last two years.
At the ceremony, Health Minister Ahmed Naseem said research on the health sector is crucial to further strengthen the industry and in the light of such findings, people can identify ways to prevent and treat diseases and shape their lives to stay healthy.
The minister said there are people in Maldives who have the ability and skills to conduct health research. However, it is the responsibility of the ministry to further strengthen the sector and provide easy access to additional resources and funding.
