President-elect Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has said that his teams will visit government organizations during the transitionary period and that he is certain that agreements made by the current government will not be kept hidden during these visits.

Addressing the crowd at the victory celebration held last night at the Social Centre, Dr. Muizzu urged everyone to act responsibly when his teams visit government organizations to gather information before he assumes power and takes the oath of office on November 17. He expressed confidence that the government would honor this request.

"We will want to look at information. Because we want to do real work for the people. We want to produce results. So it will not be right if one part of the agreement is shown while another part is kept hidden," said Dr. Muizzu.

Dr. Muizzu said that president Ibrahim Mohamed Solih had assured him that the government will act responsibly during the transition period.

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih met with Dr. Muizzu on Sunday after he was elected as the new president of the Maldives on Saturday.

One of the biggest concerns raised by Dr. Muizzu and his team during the campaign was about the current government's failure to disclose major agreements. These include the agreement regarding the development of Ameenee Magu and various agreements made with India.

Dr. Muizzu said last night that he would have received the necessary information, enabling him to promptly manage the government's affairs once he assumes office on November 17. Dr. Muizzu however requested for the cooperation of the parliament.
