Maldives Police Service reports investigating incident of sexual assault on a female inside the lift of a Male' City residence.
Local law enforcement authority had further specified they were reported with the incident sometime on Tuesday, previous week.
The incident was reported from a residence in Henveiru district of the capital city.
Moreover, the apparent victim, a woman living in the residence where the incident took place, reported that she was sexually assaulted by a male perpetrator who had forced himself into the lift after her.
Though details have not been disclosed, local authorities confirm on currently probing the case.
