President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has met with Chinese Premier Li Qiang. At the meeting, President Dr Muizzu highlighted the constructiveness of the official talks held with President Xi Jinping.
The Premier of China is the second highest ranking official of the State.
At the meeting, President Dr Muizzu emphasized that the first official state visit of his administration being to China indicates the close bonds shared between the two countries.
Thanking the officials of China for extending the invitation, President Dr Muizzu reiterated that the government of Maldives will extend full cooperation to China in proceeding with the numerous agreements made for collaboration between the countries in various areas.
Chinese Premier Li Qiang also emphasized that the discussions held yesterday has further strengthened ties between the countries.
He noted that the next step is to plan strategies and commence work on the agreed projects.
The Premier assured that China will extend assistance and collaboration to the Maldives in conducting the numerous projects that will prove beneficial to both countries.
