Regional Airport (RACL) has signed an agreement with Haa Dhaal atoll Kulhudhuffushi Council to develop a tourism zone on vacant land adjacent to the mangrove area in the north of Kulhudhuffushi Airport.
According to the agreement, RACL will also provide the necessary funding for the project.
RACL stated that the project aims to make use of the vacant land for the benefit of all residents of the island. The project will further help Kulhudhuffushi City and guesthouses and businesses located in Kulhudhuffushi become renowned in the global market.
The company highlighted that the project will also increase flight movements and bring further economic development to the island, creating more job opportunities.
RACL stated that the company's Managing Director, Ahmed Mubeen, has launched many projects to bring about a revolutionary change in the company since he assumed his role.
RACL operates seven airports across the country.
