Ministry of Economic Development and Trade has announced on Sunday that they are seeking a contractor to establish a Creative Arts International School with the intention of promoting the field of arts in the country.

The announcement said that the school will be developed with three main factors in focus: to create and encourage more persons to work in the arts field, to provide training and professional development trainings, and to establish integrated galleries and museums which are open to the public in order to encourage creative individuals working in the field who wish to exhibit their work.

The announcement also said that the school will be built including hostels to provide accommodation for students.

The school will offer a variety of courses, including in the fields of visual arts and crafts, audio visual and interactive media, technology and design.

Additionally, in order to encourage creativity, publications, dissemination of knowledge and creative expression will be facilitated.

The Ministry stated that all parties interested in taking up this project can notify the ministry via email ahead of June 30.

The Ministry said that after taking into consideration the proposals for establishing this school, there will be an opportunity for provision of special privileges under the Special Economic Zone framework.
