Redbull announces the first ever "Campus Clutch" e-sports competition in the Maldives.

The popular energy drink brand's competition is aimed at tertiary academic students. Registration for the competition is currently open.

The Campus Clutch initiative is aimed at boosting popularity for and interest in competitive gaming. The competition in Maldives is organized by Euro Store, the authorized distributor of the energy drink in the Maldives.

The competition is organized at national and international level, while the first ever Campus Clutch in the Maldives will be held at national level. Euro Store notes reception to the Campus Clutch will assessed before transitioning into the international level competition.

The organizer further notes the competition is open for both experienced and inexperienced gamers. Participants are set to compete against each other on the popular free-to-play first-person hero shooter "Valorant".

Competitors should be students currently studying at a local university or college, and must be over 18 years of age. The students must present a valid student ID document while registering for the competition.

The Campus Clutch is set to proceed with a team approach. Each team consisting of eight players, who must compete against other teams to win.

Individual registrants participating in the competition without teams will be placed into teams consisting of other individual registrants, upon informing it to the organizer.

Finals will be played between eight teams that win the qualifier rounds.

Euro Store announced a prize pool of MVR 30,000 for the winners.
