Villa College has announced that the application deadline for the September intake of 2023 will be at the end of August. Classes for the September intake are scheduled to commence in the final week of August.
During a press conference held to announce the September intake, Dr. Ali Najeeb, the Vice Rector of Villa College, said that the upcoming intake would include courses from The University of West England and Taylors University in Malaysia. Additionally, engineering programs offered by the University of Portsmouth in the UK will also be available.
Rector of Villa College, Dr. Ahmed Anwar, highlighted the college's commitment to offering collaborative programs with universities and designing programs that align with the opportunities and interests within the Maldives. He said that significant investments have been made in fields such as engineering, considering the country's career prospects and the demand for educated professionals in those areas.
Dr. Anwar reiterated that Villa College is dedicated to providing high-quality education, ensuring that courses are taught by highly qualified lecturers who are experts in their respective fields. He emphasized that this approach prepares graduates to be competent and well-prepared for the workplace, equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge in their areas of study.
The September intake offers various courses, including Information Technology, Computer Science, Teaching, Education, Sharia and Law, Tourism and Hospitality, Business Management, Aviation Management, International Business, Economics, Accounting and Finance, Banking and Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Engineering, Research, Nursing, Psychology, Public Health, Interior Architecture and Design, Health Services Management, Project Management, Hospitality Management, Mass Communication, and Culinary Arts.
The courses offered by Villa College encompasses various educational levels, including certificate programs, diplomas, undergraduate degrees, and postgraduate programs.
